Dear Families,
What a busy fortnight we've had, with the students and teachers settling into the classroom routines, setting expectations and building relationships. It's lovely to see the learning happening in the classrooms and yard, including the introduction of Play is the Way. I invite you to ask your child what they have enjoyed best at school this term. I'd love to hear what they have to say!
The work is now complete separating the library and learning space, allowing the 3-6 class to have an extra area for teaching and learning. We welcomed the Parent Group into this space this morning as well.
Thank you to the parents and family members who attended Acquaintance Afternoon. The teachers enjoyed speaking with you, showing you the classrooms and enjoying a afternoon tea in the Children's Centre.
Please make sure you set your notifications on for your Schoolzine App, as this is the most common way for reminders to be sent. Also ensure you are checking for notes and communicating with your child's teachers via email or your child's diary.
As always, please make a time to meet with me if you have any aspect of your child's eduation or wellbeing taht you would like to discuss.
Warm regards,
Morwenna Stanford

Welcome back to another exciting year of learning in Junior Primary!
This term we welcome Indyanna Stevenson into our class. The students are excited to have a new classmate and look forward to getting to know more about Indyanna and her family over the coming weeks.
Already, lots of learning has taken place and the students have been eager to get back into the routines of school. We have been busy investigating number and sharing in lots of number related games. We have learnt new songs to help us remember the days of the week and the months of the year and have shared in a range of oral language and written activities based around the story ‘Where The Wild Things Are’, by Maurice Sendak. The children are currently working on a retelling of the story using stick puppets!

We have been very busy in the Year 3-6 Classroom over the past two weeks. The students have been creating their own family crests and reflecting upon their own values which they wanted to represent in their design. The students have also been learning about the effects of the recent bushfires in Australia and South Australia. The students then chose to write a letter to a volunteer firefighter to thank them for their courage and bravery.
